A report reveals an alternative to the notch in the iPhone 14
Gizmo China reported on the Bloomberg network journalist Mark German, who spoke about the iPhone 14 series of phones expected to be launched this year.
The German said that the phones will not see the presence of the usual notch in the phones, but rather it is expected that it will be replaced by a small area slightly larger than the hole in traditional Android phones, as it will take the form of a medicine. The capsule, and its location will be above the middle of the screen.
Apple had previously said that the notch is necessary to house the sensors required for the front camera, as well as facial recognition. So it will be interesting to see how Apple will place all the sensors in such a small space that if the news is true, it will replace the first class.
And the new Bloomberg report was preceded by news from Korean sources who said that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max phones will come with a small hole in the screen instead of the notch. Even Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPhone 14 phones will come with a small hole in the screen.
The notch has appeared on Apple phones since the iPhone X and has remained the same ever since. The notch has a true depth camera array that includes an infrared camera and a front camera.
Reports have also indicated that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will still have the notch, but the Pro models will come with a new medical capsule-like notch to house the sensors.
On the other hand, some rumors have stated that the company may adopt a laser-powered design for the facial recognition sensor.
